Rakshabandhan is almost here — that time of the year when you show (or just show-off) about how good a brother you really are to your sister. Relax. This festival is not just a yearly affair that’s about buying presents and treating your sister. It’s all about how you can celebrate and appreciate the unique bond you share, all year round.

In keeping with the spirit of Rakhi, we have listed some of the most popular brother-sister pairs from some of our all-time favourite movies and TV shows. Each one of them has a unique personality and sense of style that one can identify with. Read on to find out which one of our brother-sister jodis most resembles yours.

Curious? Don’t worry, no “Dexter and Dee Dee” list, this.

Let’s roll tape.

Cricket-obsessed Ishaan and bookworm Vidya from Kai Po Che

Kai Po Che - Rakshabhandhan

First on our list is this delightful duo from the 2013 movie Kai Po Che. In the film, Ishaan (Sushant Singh Rajput) watches over Vidya (Amrita Puri) like a loving and highly-protective brother. The pair perfectly embodies a brother-sister duo from a typical Indian middle-class home, something that many of us can identify with. If your style is super-casual and you live in your shorts and T-shirts, then Ishaan is your hero.

Ross the geek and Monica the control-freak from F.R.I.E.N.D.S

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - Rakshabhandhan

Not listing them would be a cardinal sin! Cementing their status as one of the most likeable on-screen siblings are Ross (played by David Schwimmer) and Monica (Courtney Cox) from none other than the legendary sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Pulling pranks, bickering constantly and helping out each other out occasionally was all part of the package. Some might say that they actually had us believing they were real-life siblings too. Do you identify with Ross’ geek-chic style? Then you’re sure to love your checked shirts and chinos.

Mr know-it-all Kabir and Miss goody-two-shoes Ayesha Mehra from Dil Dhadakne Do

Dil Dhadakne Do - Rakshabhandhan

Next on the list is another popular pair from the movie Dil Dhadakne Do. Motivating his sister, check. Helping her tackle issues, check. Taking her side when the parents throw a fit, check. In this movie, Kabir (Ranveer Singh) carries out all his brotherly for Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra) with all the flair and nonchalance that only a younger brother can have. This pair has got to be the most stylish on the list. Are you like Kabir and share his love for slim-fit trousers, printed shirts and sharp blazers? Then kudos to your style.

Rogue Max and girl-next-door Shirley Dias from Josh

Josh - Rakshabhandhan

This one evokes pure nostalgia because it’s one of the films that made growing up in the ’90s so great. Helming this film is Max (Shah Rukh Khan)— a flamboyant local toughie with Shirley (Aishwarya Rai) who is his delightfully spunky sister and loyal sidekick. It seemed like an unlikely partnership but it sure did work! SRK’s style was the perfect blend of 90’s grunge with his leather jackets, distressed denims and sunglasses. Lucky for us, the style is still much in trend. Can you identify with his look?

Well, there you go. A list of inspirations to have just the kind of day you need with your sister and give you major #siblinggoals. Give her a hug, head out and be sure to have a blast!
